Christians, why do you seem to think nonbelievers should conform to christian morality?
If it takes the power of Jesus, and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit to convict, and change lives... why would we seem shocked or disappointed when they live their lives "unchristian"?
Should we not show love to them in all circumstances? If we can not show them grace, and love them when they need it, why would we expect them to believe the gospel?
We should be more concerned with living our lives according to the furtherance of the gospel, and constructively admonishing other Christians to do the same.
We should be dealing with the problem, not the symptoms. The problem: People need Jesus. Agreed?

perhaps all you angry atheist missed the "Christians" in the title. Also, you should note that I am at least one Christian who is not advocating beating you over the head with Christianity, but rather living it out... and yes, sometimes it should be spoken lovingly.
Who is the one full of hate here?

I think people can handle multiple goals. Simplicity for the sake of it, at the expense of all else, only leads to a society of idiots. (To dumb it down any further than many already have done would not be a service).
That said.....I do not require unbelievers to conform to "Christian morality". I do think there are standards that the entire Earth embraces as to morality that should be expected of all people (believers and unbelievers), and I do not believe that truth is relative.
Christianity is the light of the world. That light should shine in all directions, and should not be put away at inconvenient times. If the church will not stand for what is right, how can it be expected that anyone will?
For the most part I agree with you. We should love all people at all times, regardless of who they are or what they do, and people do need Jesus and an indwelling of the HS to live out perfect morality. However, Christian morality is based on Natural Law (which comes directly from God) and which itself is written on the hearts of mankind. Everyone knows murder is wrong... it's a common fact not only of Christian Law, but of Natural Law. Therefore, if they follow Natural Law, there are many Atheists that can (and do) live according to the Laws of Christ with being Christian.
I am a Christian and do not believe non believers should conform to anything. All must find their own way, beating people over the head with a bible does not good at all
Agreed, if you clarify your answer that some people need Jesus. Some people get along without him.
The problem with believing that people need Jesus is , in my experience, it leads to imprinting that need onto others; at that point you're back to witnessing to the non-believer.
I have no problems with differing moralities - as long as they don't impose on my own freedoms. At that point, your moralities become immoral to me.
The real problem is you think people need Jesus. Every religious freak thinks that they need to spread their BS to the world. News flash: there's no objective data that shows Christians are any more moral than anyone else. In fact, there are proportionally far more Christians in prisons than nonbelievers. Christians get divorced more than atheists. I think you need to take a cold sober look at the ideas you think are so great.
