Much ado about Australians?

Question

Why do we feel that women in the middle east who cover their faces religiously should be forced to be free from this kind of treatment whether they want to or not, but we turn the other way about Australians treating women like posessions? Are Australians not the lowest form of scum? Even in online forums I find Australians to be rude and pushy. You Australians better start making up for how everybody else feels about your scumbag society. Do you even care how the world views you?

Australians treat women like possessions?
That's news to me and I live in Australia.

And NO, I don't think we are the lowest form of anything let alone scum.
Without exception this is the best country in the world in which to live (and yes, I have traveled).
