What Camera is better (Nikon)?

im getting my girlfriend a camera from Xmas and i have really no idea what i am looking at so here are my options

They're both good camera's but i'd go with the second one.
The touch screen option seems fun and she'll probably enjoy using it and showing it off.
The first one is 12 mp which is better and its feature's seem cool, but the touch screen one still takes good quality pictures.
And that face detection feature on the first one gets annoying, thats what happened with mine!

Thats why i'd recommend the second one.
