Did you know, 1 Corinthians 14:34 & 35 have nothing to do with women preaching and/or pastoring?

BUT, it has to do with women speaking out and asking questions out of the blue so to speak, in church in general, and disrupting services?

Yes I know that. A study of the Church of Corinth reveals how the meetings were structured and why Paul was saying what he did.

People who are reading the Bible with blinded eyes see only what they want to.

After seeing Ted's question like 50 times a day, yes we all know that's what it was about.
That it was written by Paul, to convince the women to not interrupt during church sermons.

That's probably the only bible verse I have memorized so well, all thanks to R&S and Ted.

Edit: maybe that guy was onto something, if someone keeps posting the same bible verse over and over in new question formats we'll eventually have memorized the bible without even noticing.

Yes I did know that, now just to convince Ted. He asked the same question a couple days ago, but as soon as he asked them the question was deleted. Even though he was a pain sometimes repeating the same thing, I kinda miss him, hope he is ok.

Yes, and it also has a historical context. Paul had trouble-making women to deal with, but he also said plenty about the proper behavior of men. Seems a lot of men today want to ignore the parts directed to them, and focus on the parts which have nothing to do with them.

This message could just as easily apply to men, especially the one who sat next to me last night and chattered for a lot of the service. (And the male child on the other side of me, but since he's my son, I guess he's my problem lol)

Yes, we all did - except one truly obsessed guy who keeps asking the same question over and over again.
I spoke to him once in a chat, and he said he didn't read much else in the bible.
I think we could all have guessed that.
