The reluctantly hired executor is not a beneficiary. The deceased person had a Will and a revocable Trust. The executor refuses to communicate with the beneficiaries about what he is doing. He just says that he needs to put everything in his name and we need not do anything. I am wondering what he was trying to infer when he so vehemently apologized during our initial conversation after the deceased died. And this was done before the will was found.
This executor has taken every single piece of paper of the deceased. His actions have been questionable and advisory every step of the way.
Do I need to get a lawyer?

Uh..yes he can be both an executor and a trustee of the estate.

If you don't fully understand what is happening, you need to hire a probate lawyer to review the actions,
