Spiritually Speaking: Did you ever suspect a question was a setup for the answerer?

I've seen more than a few ramblings that seem to "perfectly" answer the question that was asked. So, do you suspect?

Bonus question: If you suspect, do you think it's two people working together? Or just one nut-job?

LOL...well, I never meant that they did it for the points, but I suppose there is that, too...

Multiple-account trolls. I'm suspicious of people with 50% Best answers, for some reason.

Oh, I thought you were talking about me. I often ask questions to answer the silliness of some people's logic. In this way, I can use the answers of someone's peers to show them that their logic is faulty. It ticks a lot of people off. Probably because it works brilliantly.

But I see what you describe happening all of the time. Sometimes it's someone with multiple accounts, or sometimes it's just people trying to feel better about themselves. They don't care if a more logical reponse exists.

If I had a dollar for every time I answered a question with a logical answer, but lost out to some guy who answered "Uh, Christians are retarded"... I'd own a new home.

Yes, lately this has been done by a certain group. Very disgusting. I called it the jungle group.
My friend Madhu got reported and deleted for having said something in her answer about that group. There was also a couple, husband and wife, during the winter. Each time they argued, one or the other would ask a question on Y!A then make up this way and give one another BA.

We will not forget.

I wouldn't put it past people to do something like that.

Although I think a lot of people make a second account and choose their own answer as the Best Answer to rack up points. I doubt that 2 people would do so unless they were REALLY bored.

If you're referring to point gaming, yeah, it happens.

Aside from that, sometimes Contacts can "intuit" what the other would say, and think it's worth putting out in public for all to see, usually to give the board a laugh or two. I don't see anything wrong with that, God knows we need it, if you'll pardon the pun.
