Did Richard Dawkins and Carl Sagan ever meet? Or better yet, work together..?

despite their different areas of education in science? Just curious...

Professionally, I can't think of any reason why they would have worked together. Sagan was an astronomer, Dawkins is a biologist. And since Sagan died right around the time the skeptical movement was getting off the ground, there wouldn't have been any significant gatherings where they would likely have both been present. Certainly, if Sagan were still alive they would have met by now.

Still, it's possible they crossed paths. They certainly shared a love of science and a sense of wonder about the universe and our place in it.

Carl Sagan all the way!!!! I love Carl Sagan. I want Pale Blue Dot recited at my memorial service just out of pompous indulgence.

Likely not, but they as well likely knew of each other.

And if you haven't seen a really neat video with Sagan, see this one.

Huge beat, hugely interesting, and huge message.
