Could this be herpes?

Yesterday in the process of masturbation I noticed some mild pain. When I looked down, low and behold the foreskin on my shaft was broken and oozing. For 2 years I have had only one sexual partner. I am 99.9% sure she didn't have sex of any kind with anyone else and I did not have sex of any kind with anyone else. Now here are some details that lurk in my mind that bug me. I went on vacation with my best friend and his cousin last week. The cousin has oral herpes. Is it even remotely possible to get genital herpes from his oral herpes by sharing a hotel toilet or shower? Additionally, I used many public restrooms where I did numbers 2s and sat on the toilet. Is it even remotely possible to get herpes from toilet seats? The most likely scenario is that when I got home Monday I had pretty rough sex with my gf and the skin got irritated and probably started to peel on Tuesday. But the doctor today thinks it could be herpes just by looking at it. Now I'll have to wait for bloodwork for confirmation. Any opinions on any likelihood of this being herpes?

It could be herpes from your friend if he sucked you dick, or your gf had herpes. You can't get herpes from the toilet and etc. If it is the herpes from you friend, i believe it is herpes A, that will not survive at you genitals. If it is from your gf it will stay since that is herpes B.

There are two types of herpes virus, HSV-1 and HSV-2, both are almost exactly the same with them both sharing 50% of their DNA. They both set up residency in your body, remaining dormant -or latent- until they create a symptom -like a sore. The main difference is that HSV-1 usually establishes residency in the trigeminal ganglion, a collection of nerve cells near the ear. This causes outbreaks in your mouth and lips. HSV-2 sets up residence in the sacral ganglion, near the base of the spine, causing genital outbreaks.

Infection from a toilet seat is extremely rare, though not impossible. Herpes enters your body through an open wound, a sore, or mucosal membranes.

It is estimated that 100 million Americans have HSV-1. If you have HSV-1 you have a good immunity to HSV-2, enabling your body to fight off a potential infection. Not 100%, but some immunity.

Trust your doctor, he's the most reliable source.

I am almost 100% sure it is herpes. I actually have it too my friend. Herpes outbreaks like that generally take a year or more to start showing signs. Take my advice, have your girlfriend tested too. She could be what is considered to be an asymptomatic carrier. Somebody that is asymptomatic could spread the virus to somebody without showing any symptoms of the herpes virus. Because the blisters or legions are on your penis, chances are that it is through sexual contact. But don't blame your girlfriend or accuse her of being unfaithful. Like I said, she could be asymptomatic and might not even know that she has it.
The virus itself it not fatal, but at times extremely painful.
