Did someone HACK into my email account?

I recently received an email from FACEBOOK stating that my account is temporarily suspended due to suspicious "activity". I didnt think much of it because I rarely log into facebook. Last night I was checking my email, when I realized all my FOLDERS (13 of them) that I keep for documents for school and such, are all empty. I haven't checked these folders in a long time, but how can they all be empty?? Could it be a glitch, or did someone really hack in? I changed my passwords to everything, but I need info as to what to do to retrieve my documents back? should I e-mail YAHOO?? And should I start a new email address all together??

ok, the other weird thing is, only my documents in the FOLDERS are deleted. All my picture attachments are still there. And only certain picture attachments are deleted. Doesn't that sound more like "SOMEONE" got into my account. Not really a "VIRUS" that just deletes EVERYTHING.

You need to contact a Facebook administrator to inform them about your email as well as your issue with empty folders first before doing anything else and scan your computer for viruses immediately.
Also beware of fraudulent e-mails. Facebook could tell you if you give them a copy of the email if it is bogus or the real thing and why it happened.

Sometimes if you have an account with some places and you are inactive a long long time you may have your files removed but you would be notified before hand. Anyway, send a copy of the questionable email and let them have the complete header info. Also do the same thing with Yahoo! mail services.

Yes, somebody probably hacked your account. I would email Yahoo! Tech Support and see if they can retrieve your files. As long as you changed your password, you should be good to go. If this happens again, I would make a new email account.
