Call Canon at 1-800-OK-CANON and talk to them. They are pretty good on the phone.
Replacing the shutter in a DSLR is a skilled and difficult task... http://richard.hornbaker.org/2009/10/10/nikon-d2h-shutter/
Unless an employee of Canon who does this job happens to read this question, the most accurate and up to date answer and pricing will be discovered by you picking up the phone and talking to Canons repair services.
I got a Nikon D40 for Christmas. It's a great camera, and it's very similar to the D60, it just has less features. When i went to Bestbuy to look at cameras before christmas, I specifically compared Nikon to Canon. Both were great decisions, but i felt a tad more comfortable playing with the Nikon than the Canon.
Call Canon or e-mail them they will give you an estimate. They also will provide one to you if you send it in and then you have to sign up on the repair before they start.
