What prompts this question is I don't even see tether ball poles on school grounds other than in California. Many whom I've asked have never heard of tether ball. But since I haven't been everywhere, I thought I'd ask all of you YAers.

I used to live in CA and I remember that playing tether ball was the highlight of my recess each day. And when I moved to Texas there was a lot of tether ball too.

I'm from Chicago and I've been to many places, and I've never even HEARD of tether ball lol! Aww that sucks. Well, there's a lot of good things that we don't hear about and miss out on. :) Maybe one day the world will be full of tether balls and we will all learn how to play. :)
Oh I went to California when I was really little so I don't remember whether or not I saw any tether balls. I went to LA though.

I have lived for almost 30 years here in New Mexico, and I can't say I have see one tether ball setup at any of the schools my children have attended...

I know it, I loved the game. Even if it did hurt like heck when you missed the ball and got the wrist and even more so in the winter time. I use to stay black and blue, but I was pretty good at the game. Enjoyed it very much. But they have taken the poles down from the Florida Schools that I know of.
