Okay I know everyone is going to call me stupid or whatever, but i usually don't go on this site. I asked a question on here and i like this person's answer now how do i choose it as the best answer?

You can only select a best answer after 4 hours and before 4 days of posting the question. Once enough time has past a blue box that says 'Choose as Best Answer' should appear under each answer. Click on the one UNDER the answer you wish to give best answer to.
If you wait over 4 days, then it will go into voting and you will not be able to choose a best answer, but only submit a vote for the best.

You must wait for 4 hours after you ask a question , but not longer than 4 days to choose a Best answer to a question you ask.
On the top right of the page here on the site you will see a Green tab that says [ My Profile ] click it
Scroll down to the green [My Questions] tab ( these are all the ones you have asked)
Click on the question you have received your Best Answer for & under the Answer that best answers your question click the Choose Best Answer button. then rate it's helpfulness with stars & leave a comment for it or any other answers you received if you would like .Then Submit.
You have now chosen a Best answer for your question as the asker . You will also receive 3 points back for doing so in the time period given to do this .
If you do not do it before 4 days the answers will go to voting the community gets to chose your best answer for you by which answer gets the most votes*

Picking the Best Answer.
It can be selected after 4 hours (???) when the blue buttons will appear.
You can wait for up to 4 days.
Pick the answer you feel answers your question the best.
If there are a couple of good one go for the one with the better spelling or the way it has been set out.
You will get 3 points.
According to Yahoo it is 24 hours. This could be new. Read this.

ITS OKAY your not stupid! i usually dont spend lots of time here too. :) But all you really do is wait 4 hours and come back to your answer. the reason why is because it gives others a chance to post answers. Hope this helps!!
