Help with my computer?

When I shut my computer down last night it was working fine but this morning it would not open the internet explorer. It would start to load but then close! It did work for a little while on my daughter's account but then started doing the same thing? What could be going wrong?

Easiest thing to try it load pc.
press start and then help and support
click on undo changes etc with system restore
put ure pc back the day before it happened.
it should then load the image of the pc on that date before u shut your pc down and
the problem should not exist.
but there is a chance that it could still persist as system restore is very basic so may not work.
but its worth a go.
just make sure u back up any pictures, songs, vidoes etc you have put on the pc since the day ure going to restore it to

Due to automatic update this may happened just restore your system to previous restore point:

1. Log on to Windows as Administrator.
2. Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, point to System Tools, and then click System Restore. System Restore starts.
3. On the Welcome to System Restore page, click Restore my computer to an earlier time (if it is not already selected), and then click Next.
4. On the Select a Restore Point page, click the most recent system restore point in the On this list, click a restore point list, and then click Next.

Note A System Restore message may appear that lists configuration changes that System Restore will make. Click OK.
5. On the Confirm Restore Point Selection page, click Next. System Restore restores the previous Windows XP configuration, and then restarts the computer.
6. Log on to the computer as Administrator. The System Restore Restoration Complete page is displayed.
7. Click OK.

If you successfully restored your computer to a previous state, and the computer is performing as it should be, you are finished.
