I can tell you my region is nice to visit all of the place XD but the most wonderful places, in my opinion, are.. Gran Sasso the tallest mountain of the Appennins;
Campo Imperatore, it's like Mars, seriously!
The Seaside of Pescara's zone like Vasto, Montesilvano, Francavilla...
L'Aquila, that now after the heartquake is very sad ç.ç
The inlands of Chieti's zone
well, you can go to typical restaurant (trattorie, agriturismi) to taste our delicious food, like cheese (pecorino, caciocavallo, provolone etc), wine (Montepulciano!), Pasta alla amatriciana (from the Amatrice town), mazzarelle, trippa (innards of pork) you can taste olive all'ascolana (Ascoli's olives, but they are from Ascoli Piceno in Marche, another region) and go to fish restaurants in the seaside I suggest you the restaurant Da Valerio (Valerio's) in Giulianova, there's very very good fish ;D
keep with you much money, the euros, I think not all can accept the dollars!

I VERY HAPPY SOMEONE IS VISITING US! ( Sorry for my bad engilsh ) Stores accept credit cards-some stores, but not all stores accept American credit cards. Yes, we only accept Euros, but you can find a trade machine anywhere.
May I recommend - Gran Sasso. Silvi Marina, L'Aquila ( Interesting to see how city is now ) Penne ( city of Art, and notorius for gambling ) Fungarolo ( AMAZING resturant near Villa Celiera )
Also it is always a better idea to keep the money with you.
