This genetic manipulation is using for multiples purposes, even military and intelligence goals.

Any mixing of human & animal DNA, is completely UN-ACCEPTABLE, & needs to be banned by law,..But, sadly, even IF it were banned,..you can bet, that, there would be :super secret, projects, underway, to manipulate the genes, of the entire population, to suit need needs of those who, now, rule the world, from behind the scenes,..

Yes, as long as it serves a useful purpose and steps are taken to prevent unnecessary suffering.

I can't think of any useful purpose other than research.

I seriously can't imagine any way in which the military and/or intelligence agencies could ever benefit from preforming that procedure. Seriously, it's pretty useless.

No. Any genetic manipulation could have dismal far-reaching consequences for humans; if we start doing this to animals - for whatever seemingly altruistic reason - it won't be long before genetic material is used to alter human beings and human embryos.
