sudden download limit?

my downloads used to go at around 700kbps(comcast) and they went up to around 1.5 mbps but never below 600 kbps. now for some reason all my downloads are only going at about 100 kbps even on newsleecher, it is slowing up my download time in apps like utorrent, safari, and others. thank you for your help.

Well, it sounds like you're doing a lot of piracy. Comcast, in their contract says that they will limit your transfer and eventually shut you down if they suspect that you are stealing software or such other licensed files. I doubt this is the case, but you might want to give it a rest for awhile.

However, unplugging your modem for awhile, and restarting all the clients on the network, along with the network backbone itself (The router*s*) may solve your problem. After doing that, head over to speedtest.net, and see what that says, compared to what you're downloading.

If you are hitting a lot of peer-to-peer stuff, then yes. You may be getting throttled from your ISP, or the clients sharing the data may just be slow. It's hard to tell with stuff like that without actually being there to debug it.

i income from a wireless connection to a working laptop or computing device, and the main classic reason that my receive speeds substitute severely is for the reason that of a loss of components or seeds (the folk or factors I download from) or once you think approximately that of updates to my ISPs server. in case you may desire to evaluate what share seeds or components you're downloading from, then that would provide you an advice if its an unknown document or hardly downloaded document (the greater the better). if your ISP is updating their server, this is going to ought to take now no longer than an afternoon to complete, so which you would be organising a bad connection with the components you're downloading from.
