What are the laws concerning sending prescrition meds via the mail?
My daughter was about to send some left over welbutrin to a friend out of state who thinks she needs it, and I stepped in, cant she get in trouble for that?

Your daughter came very close to breaking the law. Nobody but the person named on the prescription can legally take the drugs. Plus, it is VERY stupid to take welbutrin without being under a doctors care.
Putting it in the mail would just make it a federal crime instead of a state crime. If you daughter's doctor has taken her off of the drug you need to flush them down the toilet.
