I want a laptop that is reasonably priced, and is fast and can play Spore smoothly? Probably not anything more expensive than $700-$800. I want to be able to play it on high-detail, also. Any help would be appreciated.

well the good news is spore isnt that high of a requirement of a game, otherwise most games you must buy a gaming laptop which is always 1k+. THis is because of the graphic card that makes the price jump up extremly, for mainstream laptops they just stick a crappy graphic card capable of doing basic hd video watching and thats about it. most of them come with the intel 4500 or ati 3200 which is the gpu's that cannot do gaming.
however some mainstream laptops put the ati 4670 or nvidia 9300 or 9400, which will be good enough to play spore on medium maybe high depending on resolution.
