AGI question to efile return? Use figure on amended return or first 1040 ez?

When asked the agi number to verify for efile do we look on the 1040ez first or on the amended return we used for the first time homebuyers? And wouldnt both figures be the same?

The AGI should be the same since it is calculated first to determine your total taxable income before any deductions and credits are figured in.
