How long does it take for a soda spill to dry on a hardwood floor?

The soda cup was large and about 3/4ths full, I soaked it up with kitchen towels and the wood appears to be very damp. The spill is the size of a regular garbage can bottom. Any other cleaning advice?

You need to thoroughly get the soda off it will eat through the finish. Wash it with water and some vinegar and dry it well. Get some Murphy's oil soap tomorrow to clean the floor.

clean it up and then put the fan on it to dry it out
