When will I get my 2009 Earned Income Credit?

I E-Filed my tax return and I used Turbo Tax to walk me through it. I had all of my W2s and filled everything out perfectly and Turbo tax said that my wife and I were eligible for the EIC. Just to make sure that Turbo tax was right, I even went to the irs website and filled out a survey to see if I was eligible and they said I was. My refund came in the other day and I received it fine but It seems that we did not receive the EIC. My question is: Does the EIC come after the regular return or is it suppose to be included with the refund I already received?

It is included in your refund as an offsetting credit against what your tax liability was. If you got your refund, you've already gotten your EIC credit!

The EIC is a tax credit, not a refund. The credit should have been included in your deductions by Turbotax. Look at your copy of your return to be sure. You can file an amended return if not.

If there is no question that you are eligible, the EIC will come with the refund.

If there are questions, the IRS releases everything but the EIC and then follows up with a letter. Respond to the letter and submit all requested documentation.

you do not qualify. you probably did not stay with the youngster so which you weren't the custodial determine. as a results of fact the youngster lives with the mummy and her determine's, in basic terms one in all them can declare the youngster. the mothers and fathers curiously can declare your female pal as a based, so she's not eligible the two. Her determine's will declare her and the baby. As for criminal custody or guardianship, that's not an identical factor as adopting. that's comparable, yet not an identical. by way of having custody of a RELATIVE, the grandparents can declare the baby on their return and on their coverage.
