Is Toyota proving to be a dishonest and dishonorable company?

There are now many reports of hiding information, falsification of reports, influence on safety boards. It is almost sleazy.

I feel the sad truth is that mega companies like Toyota are so entrench in lobbyists and profit reports, that they can and will make impacting decisions solely based on the betterment of its shareholders. This is not an example of Japanese buisnessmanship, but rather a clear glimpse of global business policy. If anything the willingness to implement recalls is the sign of a company willing to take quality control seriously.

I think so. I work in a Toyota factory (New United Motor Mfg, Inc. , NUMMI) that they are will be closing at the end of March. They lie to the workers that it isn't really a Toyota factory when it says on their website its one of their own. They lie about having to find "funding sources" for our severance pay when they have $40 billion in cash right now and a $70+ billion line of credit. The real reason why they are closing their only union plant is to lower wages at their other plants. They were planning this since 2007.

My friend, companies exist to make money, they will do anything they can to keep it that way. It's the same for all of them.
