It depends on what temperature each is facing and the respective volume of the "hot" and "cold" bodies of water. All things being equal, the hot water will obviously take longer to freeze than cold water.

Yes it does, because hot water density is lower than the cold one so it freezes faster.
You can always try it, but remember to not use the glass bottle, because it will break.
