Hyper Siberian Husky Help?

I have a female Siberian husky and she's about 9-10 months old. She's very very very very very energetic lol. What is the best way to calm her down whenever she gets hyper?

Welcome to the world of the huskie, they are wonderful dogs, but without a job to do they become bored and try to get attention any way possible, by driving you insane will probably be her favorite thing to do. Taking her for walks, if you have a dog park near you use it. Huskies have a lot of energy, and you need to burn it off of her. Talk to your vet first, but sometimes having them spayed helps and a change in diet can make a huge difference.
Good luck, the more stress you show her the more she will misbehave.

She is extremely bored!!!! I sled these dogs and if they do not get proper exercise they are out of control and destructive. You need to find a way to wear her out. She also has dominance issues. You need to keep her off all the furniture and whenever she nips pop her on the mouth and give her a firm no. Don't hit her but a light pop. She is just going into her prime energy wise. The best age for a sled dog is 3-5. I would go seek a good trainer (not one from petco or petsmart) you need a good experienced trainer ask you local vet to help find a good trainer. Also look into getting her a german pinch collar that will help alot with controlling her in the house. A simple tug and no with that will correct a lot of problems. DO NOT use a choke collar on a husky it is the worst thing possible for there trachea. Get a racing harness from a website and get something heavy such as an old tire and attach the tugline to that and have her pull it. Doing this 3 times a week can greatly reduce her energy. Mine are hyper and crazy when we go out mushing but when we are in the house my 2 are dead quiet and calm and mostly lay around. They run 7 k's 2 a week that is it. My german shep husky mix that is 9 yrs old is able to run 7 k's in 28 mins and he is a mix! My 3 yr old husky is able to do it in 22 mins. The only way you have a chance to get you husky under control is to find a way for her to expel her energy. And to everyone who says you should get rid of her maybe you should maybe you shouldn't. If you do some research and find a way to exercise her and vent her energy you will be just fine. If thats not possible maybe you should look into rehoming her into a forever home. You might also want to look into getting her a friend as huskies are pack animals there a very few who enjoy being on there own. GOOD LUCK

Huskies are hyper

Puppies are hyper

She needs obedience training.

She needs more exercise

She needs to grow up. She may calm down a bit when she hits 5 years old or so.

Proper training and letting the dog grow out of her hyper stage which may take till she 2 years old is pretty much it. lol.
