I'm picking up my mother at LaGuardia this afternoon and don't want to park and go in. Is there a cell phone lot where I can wait for her to call me and let me know she's off the plane, so I can pull around to pick her up?
Checked the Web site first--no info. I'm assuming there isn't one, because of that. But hoping I'm wrong--you never know how frequently sites get updated.

There's not a lot like that at the airport, but you could probably find a place to wait on one of the side streets nearby where you'd only be a few minutes away when she called. Exactly where depends some on how you're getting to the airport, but as an example you could go off Ditmar Blvd onto 93rd Street which is residential.

It's a parking lot that you can pull into and wait for someone arriving at the airport when you have arranged for them to call you on your cell phone when they arrive. For security and traffic congestion reasons, you're not allowed to wait at the terminal for them and continuously circling the airport wastes a ton of fuel. So you just pull into the cell phone lot and wait for them to call you. Some have lounges where you can get refreshments and flight status boards so you can track your parties progress in comfort.
