I've done the measurements, and i have a 55 gallon fish tank. But it looks different from ones i've seen in videos. not the shape, it just looks smaller. Is there a way to make it look wider? like is there some thing i can do with the decorations/gravel

Actualy, going with larger decor and larger fish only make the tank look smaller, and if you really want to make a smaller tank bigger you would go with lots of smaller decoration, which will allow you to decorate with some depth and variety, and then go with smaller fish, which naturally gives them much more space and will make the tank appear bigger. Throw, say, a big old Oscar in there and your once nice tank looks more like a two dimensional fish bowl.
^^ good suggestions, but I would probably put a few large decor with a lot of little decor, like stones etc.
Chances are it is a 50 gallon. I have run across advertised 55 gallons and they are only 50 gallons, and 50 gallons that are really 55 gallons. There are different styles top, breeder tanks, etc.
I have my 50 gallon in the corner of my room and it looks great, and you can see it from everywhere in the room.
Mine is a bit different looking too. Mine is a short width. But most are the same. 48 by 12 or 48 by 13 is the normal I think.
Type in xquailx on youtube and email me and tell me if thats what yours looks like. You can probably get some good ideas for your tank. I'm uploading a new one right now, I recorded it today.
Add large decorations, have a wide variety and lots of contrast between tall, short and medium objects. Add colourful/large fish and use natural gravel. Either put it in an open room, not in a corner. Hope this helps!!! :)
