Do I have strange tastes in music?

I'm 27 years old. Here is my Top 10 most-played songs in iTunes (they are also the songs I love the most):

1. Candlelight Carol (for SATB choir, John Rutter arrangement)
2. I Can Only Imagine (by MercyMe)
3. He, watching over Israel (from Mendelssohn's Elijah)
4. Comptine d'un autre ete (by Yann Tiersen, from the movie Amelie)
5. Carol of the Bells (for choir)
6. Frere Jacques (Disneyland Childen's singalong choir w/Larry Groce, the version I listened to as a child)
7. Ostinato Repetuum (by the Danish band Afenginn)
8 Dirait-on (for SATB choir, by Morten Laurisen)
9. Soaring Like an Eagle (3-part choir, by Linda Steen Spavacek)
10. I believe in God (from Gospel Mass by Robert Ray)

Other favorite songs (not on my Top 10 list but I love them all the same):

1. Ashokan Farewell
2. To Make You Feel My Love (Garth Brooks)
3. Tantum Ergo (arrangement for SSA choir, by Faure)
4. If We Hold On Together (by Diana Ross, from Land Before Time)
5. Most of the music from Lord of the Rings
6. Ride On, King Jesus (arr. Moses Hogan, for SSA choir)
7. One by One and Only Time (both by Enya)
8. Haunting You, Save Me, Wicked Little High, In the Deep (all by Bird York)
9. O mi Belen (Conrad Susa, SATB choir)
10. Sonata for Piano in C Major, KV 545 (Mozart)
11. Sonantina No. 1 in C Major, Op. 36, Movment 1 (Clementi)
12. All of Carmina Burana (SATB choir & orchestra, by Carl Orff)
13. TONS of Scott Joplin songs, including Leola, Searchlight Rag, Glaudiolous Rag and Magnetic Rag
14. Mad World (Michael Andrews)

A few things to note:

I am an ATHEIST. There are lots of Christian/God songs, yes, but I care about the sound of the music, not the actual words.

So yeah. Just by looking at the songs listed, would you think my tastes are weird? This is the **** I listen to regularly...in the car, when working out & when working on the computer. When I'm alone in the car I play them and sing them; and I also sing them in the choir.

Be honest now!!

That just means you think for yourself. When you start listening to something because it sounds good to you, or you enjoy it, instead of because it's popular(most people listen to the most popular stuff until it grows on them), that's makes you an individual. Something I would expect from an Atheist. *lol* (from a fellow Atheist) Keep on thinking instead of following my friend.

Yes i listen to everything. All styles of music to me are good. Although I dont use an ipod. My Cd collection is huge. And widely varried in music. I can go from Somthing as heavy as like you said, Metallica and Megadeth. Get Bluesy with Luther Allison, Stevie Ray Vaughn. Got tons of techno and Rap. Just recently as far as buying CDs go. I went from jazz artist Robin Avery, rock band Skid Row and now Manhiem Steamrollers a new age group.

lol, not at all!
I personally love classical music... as well as heavy metal and alternative rock... as well as a lot of indie music and the occasional pop song, haha
I too care mostly about the music, and only sometimes about the words, if they really "speak to me" :D

Also, don't worry about what other people think of your music tastes. All that matters is that the songs make you feel happy while listening to them... this is how I acquired my varied taste in music, lol.

I don't believe in such a thing as a "strange taste in music". Music is there to provoke emotion from us and make us connect with the lyrics. If a song connects with you then there is absolutely nothing strange about enjoying how it makes you feel.
