Would you obey an order to return a state to the union?
Let's say that a state decides to secede peacefully. They simply get tired of all the B.S. in Washington D.C. and decide they want out.
If the president ordered you to return the state to the union, by force if necessary, would you follow that order?

I, (NAME), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and THAT I WILL OBEY THE ORDERS OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.
Pretty clear cut to me.

Yes. The President is the constitutionally elected Representative of the American people and as such an order from him would entail an order from the US people..so yes.

Unless there was a finding from the SCOTUS that the order of the President was illegal then we would execute our duty.
