I have decided that in general people just want to hate each other. Is there a rational argument against this premise?

I don't hate anyone. And I am not really a progressive. I am more concerned about responses that I see that are hateful and racist and cruel. Your assumption that I hate conservatives is inaccurate. You have however shown relevance to my argument with your flawed reasoning and cruel answer.

I actually don't hate anyone..

With the exception of folks that like to shout allahu akbar, and strap explosives on themselves.

The rational argument against your premise is this:
You are on an internet political forum. Nothing on here is representative of real life.
At all.

Plus I don't hate you.

It's marketing. Good news doesn't sell papers and it doesn't get people to stay tuned in through the commercials. People have a tendency to repeat what they have heard through the day, and the goal of the marketing is realized.

You perceive hate because that is how you feel personally. As with most Progressives their opinion is the only one that matters and if you disagree it can't be on merit, it has to be hate.

Don't let the trolls on this board dictate your perception of how the population is as a whole.
