LOL to that mishap. Many moons ago when I bought my first hole in the water I made the mistake of not placing the drain plugs in the back of the boat before launching. I was half way under water when I realized why the boat was not rising off the trailer. I couldn't get her off the trailer I couldn't pull her back up the ramp she was to heavy. I stood on the trailer tong to push the boat down the rollers and the the trailer tong snapped and broke from the weight. A bayliner won't sink thank God but now I had a flooded motor boat no working trailer and 500 miles from home. Unbelievably the next guy to launch was an off duty oil rig welder using his welding truck to launch his boat. For a cool $100 cash he pulled my boat trailer outta the water and in a few hours had my trailer repaired. I was the biggest fish he had ever caught. To bad this all happened before having video camera's handy, I am sure I would have won the $10,000 for funniest home video. Some things we learn by experience, I learned how to weld that day. Wish I was fishin with ya

Yeah, the pictures reminded me of the time that I was catching a limit of 2-4 lb bass in just hours everyday while on vacation. Took a buddy I worked with and we did the same. I had made plans to take another buddy the next day so the first buddy wanted to fish the next day also. But he had the bright idea of getting to the landing way before daylight to beat me to the spots I had show him. But in his hurry he had forgot to unhook his boat from the trailer. And there was no light at the boat ramp. So he kept backing up farther and farther trying to float his boat off the trailer. He said he knew when the spare tire floated up in the bed of his truck and hit his back window he was in trouble. He had to wait until the guy that owned the landing came to work and pulled him out with his tractor. You can see I have some very classy friends.

That will just about ruin your day, won't it? This is why I ALWAYS rent boats... lol.. Could be this or it could be the fact that I can't afford my own boat, or trailer, or truck... it's one of those things though, I just know it.
