do you guys know were can I learn to cut boys hair or men I have 2 boys and a husband and that will save me a lot of money. Do you know of any free or cheap classes in San Diego. or do I have to go to school for that.

I do have clippers I know how to use them I cut my sons hair all the same. I want to learn to do a different cut that I like, but can't seem to get it right.

It would help to know the cuts you have been doing and the cuts you would like to do. There is no point in writing detailed instructions to cuts you have no interest in knowing about or already know how to do. Oster makes a video showing basic cuts and there are videos on the internet showing basic cuts including a few by the director of men's styling for the Andis clipper company who has his own channel on one popular internet amateur video website. Barber John McKernan had a great video available by mail order showing most men/boy's regular barber shop styles but I checked and I can no longer find his website. I would recommend getting some advice from a real teacher, but im a cosmetology student with some mens hair cutting knowledge. Buy some cheap clippers, nothing fancy. Taking the "gaurd" off, use the edge of the clippers to clean up the hair around the ears and nape. This will clean up the hair line in between hair cuts. Clippers do not cut the skin so you wont need to worry about injury. To give a buzz cut look, put the guard back on the clippers and glide the clippers threw the hair. You can control the clippers to make sure u dont end up cutting all the hair off the head,
Do you want to learn to scissor cut their hair or clipper cut it? The scissor cuts are more complicated and difficult to learn, but the clipper cut is mostly just trial and error (and practice). You can also buy doll heads that students use for about $30 online if you would like to practice on that first.
