My laptop recently went off to be repaired and had the hard drive replaced, with windows vista on. I had Windows 7 and I still have the code, but how can I put it on to my laptop as I have no CD.
Download a version of windows 7 or borrow one from a friend. put the disk into the drive. before your computer boots up hit F12 or 8 or 4 whatever it is. choose boot from CD this may just pop up when the cd is in. Choose NTFS quick format. Use the whole partition. or leave the one on there that was used for back up. Follow instructions on comp from there. Use the activation code you have when you are asked for it.
for my section i'd think of to get a sparkling computing gadget with homestead windows 7 put in because of fact the hardware works alot nicer with it. you in all risk wont observe a extensive improve by utilising going to 7 from vista yet interior the top its as much as you. homestead windows 7 and vista use all the comparable history only 7 is a subtle form of it
You can't put it on without a CD inless you download a cracked version off the internet, which is against the law, but there are a lot of them out there lmao. Or bring it to someone in your town you does it or has a CD.
If you have a code and no cd then you do not have windows 7 the code is specific to the disk. Unless you upgraded online in which case repeat the process. http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-7/get/upgrade-advisor.aspx
