Is there a problem with the Yahoo Answers E-mail?

I have tried to send a Thank You to those who have awarded me Best Answers recently, and I keep getting an "Oops" a problem has occurred message.

I'm just paranoid enough to wonder if somehow they have locked my account from sending e-mails without letting me know or not... I tried to send to others I regularly message, and those do not work either.

Well it is so nice to know I am not alone.

Here's the message:
OopsError occurred in the system. Please try later.

When an articulate person posts something that is ambiguous there is a reason!

LOL!
I just tried to email you & found it's still down.
It's becoming a bit inconvenient now.
When the Yamster keeps me from communicating with my friends he has gone to far!
Many Blessings!

I'm a bit confused about which 'profile' what refers to. Not your fault -- that is the problem with Yahoo using the same word for different things. OK, the Yahoo Answers account is ALWAYS linked to the original email that you signed up with when you started the account. That is its 'primary' origin. You can 'add alternate email address' by clicking on your avatar, click 'edit my info' on your Yahoo ANSWERS profile, and making the change there. That seems to redirect emails to that alternate address. It does NOT, however, link your YA account to that email -- your primary origin email is still the one controlling the YA account. The consequence of this is that if you (a) terminate that primary email account or (b) allow it to self-terminate by not signing into it for 4 months -- eventually, that email account will CLOSE completely -- and you will lose access to this YA account that it is linked to. So, for clarification -- did you, in fact, terminate your old email account or are you letting it die a 'natural' 4 month death? Because, if you are, it is only a matter of time before you lose this YA account, sorry. If I've misunderstood any of this, let me know -- I'll check back for more detail to see if I need to update my answer for you. Alternatively, if you trust me and want to email me (click my avatar, click my email link), you can email me your correct email address, a clarification -- and I'll email you further explanations.

Yes! I've sent a few emails the past couple of days and I don't think they reached their destination. I believe that because I haven't gotten a reply back yet and I usually do within a very short period of time.

The mighty Yahoo Yamster and the staff must be reliving their old 80's glory days, and they're riding the rails on a crazy train. *Ahem* Why are all their noses running and why are there so many glitches in the system?

And I've also noticed that my regular Yahoo email account is not working properly. I haven't gotten any emails the last day, and my inbox is usually flooded with them.

This is crazy, because I've written a few emails to a few friends of mine on here and I don't know if they've gotten them or not. Grrr!

I think it is purely content related.

I remember getting constant "Sorry - we're having a coffee break" at the times I was posting information that may want to get veted by somebody somewhere.

Now I've changed tack - no problems.

It's as if your account gets flagged - then all communication has to be read first, because all Emails take longer.

You must be using the wrong words to set off these tripwires ;-)

Always! I'm never without problems. Some days I can't even access new emails to send one. LOL It's crazy. Can't: open mail, close mail, delete mail, send mail, receive mail. I've had a hundred or more emails hit all once that were "backed up" it would seem. Can't post anything on answers somedays. Extremely frustrating on that count. Talk about paranoid! LOL I"ve wondered if the content has anything to do with sending ability. Hopefully they will see your question. :)))

*looks up* LOL Now that's paranoid!
