I ws wondering. I have some field ants in my yar but their tunnels seem to be dug individually. Not as if they connect to any one chamber. So do the field ants have queens? I wanna catch her. I was told that I could pour alcohol diluted with water to do that but I don't know where to put it. And I certainly have no idea where the queen could be.

all ants have queens some have multiple queens.
the queen is way deep like a good 5 feet and the tunnels are intense. YOu may not find her because her works will protect her and move her if you raid them
Wait until it rains. YOu;ll see large than normal ants running around digging holes. THOSE are newly matted queens.
Catch one. Use 70% 80% alcohol and you'll perserve her in a tiny vile
