Why does Texas lead the nation in executions? Should we do anything about it?

Well it is a large state so that helps and the juries and judges are more willing to give the death penalty.

This seems to be what the people of Texas want so there doesn't seem to be anything to do about it other than maybe ship some of those that need killin' to Texas.

Someone has to lead. If it wasn't TX, it would be some other state. Texas gives the death penalty out more and doesn't chicken out before executing them. There is nothing to do about it.

Because it is a reserved power for the state, so they can do whatever they want in terms of that. The only thing that could be done is for the citizens to vote for a governor who would suspend executions. TX isn't the only state that permits execution, the other states have just not exercised their authority to do so.

Why does Texas lead the nation in executions?
-Because they sentence people to death and don't quiver when it comes to carrying out justice.

Should we do anything about it?
-No.

Yeah, we should encourage other states to step up the pace.
