If I Uninstall EA Download Manager, will my Game Screw Up?

I want to uninstall EA Download Manager because I really don't need it. So, if I uninstall it will my Sims 2 Double Deluxe disk not be playable anymore?

Your game will work perfectly fine but you won't be able to upload or download anything...

Probably not, it'll just prevent you from downloading updatse and additions to your Sims game.
