i can't find anything but how to deal with your alc. spouse or what your doing to your child. I am looking for something that can help my daughter understand what is happening in her house, I am not mentaly or fisically abusive but I do accidentally wake her up at night sometimes form talking too loud, I suffer from hangovers that turn me into a couch potato. I don't want her to think these things are ok... help... Please... anyone?

Honestly, just be open. I am guessing you have already told strangers on the internet more than you have your daughter. Why do we get that privilege? Work with "I" statements like:

"I want you to understand what is happening with me. I haven't always made the right decisions, but right now I am working on recovering from a dependency on Alcohol. I want you to know... etc."

Take responsibility, you'll feel better about yourself and your daughter will have a great role model that doesn't use excuses

Go to the AA website, they will probably have information that will help.
