Ceramic or glass top stoves take a little longer to heat up but once they are hot, they stay hot longer. I turn the burner up a little higher to start and then turn it down once the pan/pot is hot. Or if I'm heating up something that is canned, I'll put the pan on the burner, turn it on, then open the can and put the contents in the pan. Heck, if I'm cooking eggs, I even turn the burner off when they are about 1/2 done and they finish cooking with the residual heat.
Any cookware that is totally flat on the bottom works best. Stainless is an excellent choice. Aluminum will heat a bit faster but it's not worth going out and buying a new set of cookware over.
It is different cooking on one of those type cook tops. I'm on my second one and I love them for their even heat distribution. I can put a large pot of stock on there and once it's simmering, turn the heat way down and it just bubbles away nicely without any of those annoying hot spots.

I actually have a pitcher suitable range, it got here with a razor blade in a holder to take issues off. Use a razor blade to take scrape it off employing it flat no longer upright and shrink the excess residue right down to a flat floor then use a non abrasive cleanser like VIM, do no longer use something abrasive it is going to wreck the glass. Then wash off the cleanser with a sparkling damp fabric and buff it up with a gentle fabric. My husband has burned many things on our range suitable that's how I sparkling it and it works. it is likewise interior the instruction manual. They gave me a non abrasive bottle of cleanser with the range yet any non abrasive cleanser will artwork. do no longer use something harsh like bleach or it is going to take the development out of the glass around the jets.
