I checked our bank account last night and our pay check was pending....I checked it again this morning before I went and did anything....I just got done paying bills through our account and the whole DFAS-IN disappeared but its still showing our available balance like his pay went in.

I know when pay days are. What I am saying is his paycheck was there and now the whole deposit record is gone but it still shows our available balance as his paycheck but with no record! I've been doing this for 6 years and never had this happen.

so you really check it every time to make sure it is there on the 1st and 15h??. i have been doing this for 12 years total. i never waited for my check to come in. i have money and don't need to wait till the 1st or 15th to go shopping. so i have never looked. i mean i know it comes in. i check randomly but i don't check ON the pay date.
but if the record of the deposit has disappeared but the $ is there. then this would be an issue with the bank. and not DFAS. of coarse i am not really sure why you would need a copy of the record for the deposit. as i have only needed that information twice in my military life. i bought a car, and i bought a house. needed proff then.

Paydays are the 1st and 15th. When the 15th or 1st is a weekend or holiday you get access to the funds early. The exact date would depend on payday falling on a Sat or Sun. Did you complain when you got your payment for May 1 on April 30? I did not think so.
This is done with my civilian pension to. They have to pay you on the promised date, in regards to wages. They cannot pay late but they can pay early. June 1 is Tuesday. The money is your on that date.

Your Financial Institution has made a boo boo. Don't worry about it as long as the funds are there.
I also suggest not spending money that is not yet yours either. It's like spending a deposit made in error to your account. The money is not yours. I can assure you that the armed lawyers I was hanging out with trained me well. Their leaders in DOJ made sure they knew WTF they were doing.
