What are the common sizes of PVC pipe?

I found a chart online for the various sizes of PVC..... And did a whole plethora of calculations around 2.5" and 3.5" PVC pipe as the basis for a model submarine.

Now, I'm finding that these sizes of pipes (inside diameter) are not common at all.

So.... Before I do all my calculations over again..... What are the common sizes? I want to select sizes I can get at the local stores such as Lowe's, Home Depot, Ace, etc.

That's actually the chart I'm looking at.... but most places don't stock most of those sizes.

I'm not too sure about PVC, but to my knowledge it would be the same as ABS drainage pipes. The most common sizes for this pipe is 1 1/4", 1 1/2", 2", 3", and 4".

Pvc pipe should be stocked in 1/2,3/4,1,11/4,11/2,2,3,4" and 6" (schedule 40). Cpvc(hot&cold) pipe should be stocked in 1/2 & 3/4.
Fittings should include couplings, male and female adapters, tees, elbows (45* & 90*),& tees.
Sewer &drain pipe ( Thin wall) should be stocked in 3&4" sometimes 6". Stock both solid and perforated. This pipe requires different fittings because schedule 40 fittings won't work on this type of pipe. Sewer and drain are ABS and PVC will not glue to ABS
