what does it mean if my monoxide detector reads 220 when i turn on my furnace fan but not the heating?

i get an alarm when i turn on my furnace fan (no heat) for the central air conditioner...it says 220 on the screen when it beeps..and shuts off when i press the button on the front..but it went off again twice after that...we had a new furnace installed last fall and since then its been going off every time we close the windows and stuff in the house..i mostly want to know where i can find a good site to read more about how to use my detector and know what the warnings mean...and what the 220 actually means too...and it said gas too while it was beeping..ty

My guess would be improper or partially blocked venting. If you have a furnace, the fumes from the pilot light may not be getting to the outside where they belong. The fan comes on, and blows carbon monoxide into the house. If the new furnace was improperly installed, check with your dealer or whoever installed it. If it's leaking, or not venting correctly, it should be covered by the warranty.

Have your burner cleaned and the sensor should allow your furnace to return to normal operations. The flames cannot burn clean the gas and that is why you are getting an alarm. Nothing major, just a dirty burner. I have had the same problem with the same symptoms.

I have had bad luck with those cm alarms sometimes their just faulty right out of the box. I would start by replacing the alarm.
