I have been a Christian for many years and I've always wanted to know what the full details of what the Trinity is, up to now I've been shy to ask but I feel it is in my best interest to know everything about the bible (why not when it matters for eternity lol).
I would like the 3 parts of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost (especially the Holy Ghost) to be explained in detail and if you can provide versus that would be a plus. I get most of it but not completely how it works.
Also, if you can, please give me a brief ,under 200 words, on how you know your saved and going to Heaven that would be great (I'm challenging you to show me that you know the way also).
How I know that I'm Saved: I Know that I am saved because... 1. I believe that there is undoubtedly a God. 2. I also accept the fact that I have sinned and have come short of His glory. 3. I recognize that Jesus had died for my (our) sins and that I can only saved by God through Jesus by Faith ( I believe that Salvation has to be received, Not earned through good works). 4. Personally, I keep coming back to him in. Although I sometimes get off the path a little I find my way back on it and wanting more of God. I am not sure rather this is required to be saved but I bet it won't hurt to keep worshiping him ;)
If this belief is off (or if i left anything out) please tell me, but I have faith that it is on the right path ;)

In reference to the Bible, the Trinity is defined as God in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. There are many different pictures that are painted to represent the Trinity.
The Trinity can be compared to water. Just as water has three forms, ice, water, and vapor, the Trinity has three forms, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. There are different forms, but still the same thing.
Another example is the Trinity is like a rope. Each thread of the rope comes together to make the full rope. That's how it is with the Trinity.
The word "trinity" is never used in the Bible, but God makes it clear that He is three persons:
All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit [Matthew 28:19].
May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all [2 Corinthians 13:14].
To God’s elect. . .who have been chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through the sanctifying work of the Spirit, for obedience to Jesus Christ and sprinkling by his blood [1 Peter 1:1-2].
Also, in Genesis is talks about how God said to make man in "our" likeness, referring to more than one.
The Father is the Judge. He is righteous. The Son was sent by the Father to redeem us of our sins. The Holy Spirit is the comforter, the Helper, sent to us. If we become Christians He dwells in our hearts.
We were 'called' to know Jesus the Christ. It was a strong call, like a drawing, like a force...so, yes, Holy Spirit. It's not 'ghost'. Let me digress here to make a point for you....in your area of expertise, whatever that is, you have to study it, or pass tests to become skilled in it, right? For us, the bible so far surpassed 'worldly' pursuits, jobs, skills, that we got bible tools to study it. (There's a site called 'bible tools' online and it's well done). Then you can look up Holy Spirit. If you hardly know what the bible says, other than just a few verses, aren't you then vulnerable to attacks? I don't mean long reading, cover to cover. Maybe the 'sower & the seed'. We really studied all those words in the Greek and what an eye-opener to know what it's really saying. I like your list. I hope you're not too disappointed when I say I'm saved on a daily basis. When we are born again, 'from above', that seed is incorruptible. I think it says that. I don't try to memorize verses. If people won't look things up, then it's not important enough. And I can make mistakes. It's through mistakes, we learn, or hope to learn. I/we are in the body of Christ, just as a man and a woman form one body, so I don't read about 'going to heaven'. There will be 'a new heaven and new earth'.
the Godhead three in one: The Father: Created the heavens and Earth, who we pray to The Son: God in human form, who we pray in the name of, also a sort of barrier between us and the Father. It's like Jesus says "God, this is what (person) needs, Father. They need this" and He is also the only way to God, our Savior, Messiah, etc/ The Spirit: The hardest for me to explain. The Holy Ghost dwells within us, I believe is almost a sort of conscience, gives us an idea what is right and wrong. The Holy Ghost is equal in the Godhead, and dwells in believers and guides them to live a life glorifying Jesus.
okay, I found my faith in 8th grade. I was kind of just going through life, and finally realized God was patiently and earnestly reaching out to me. When I turned my life to God, I became a faithful follower of Christ. I got where I am by reading the Bible, spending time in God's presence, and with the help of an AMAZING youth pastor. I will worship God forever :) "and the reason we breath is to sing of His glory, and for all He has done. Praise the Father, Praise the Son, and the Spirit in one"
God is one, but with three aspects, much like how a man can be a father, son, uncle, plumber, golf partner, husband, soccer coach, etc., all at the same time, but still be the same guy.
God the Father is our Creator. He is the one that made everything.
He came to live amongst us as a human being, named Jesus. Jesus is 100% human, and 100% God. Not a god-like man, nor a man-like god, but both. As such, he had the same desires, strengths, and failings as any human. He did his great deeds through faith, not because he was magic, or God - he said that with faith, we can do the same as him, or more.
God the Spirit is the power by which things happen. In Hebrew, spirit is ruach, which is the same word as wind. Some people think of the Spirit as Wisdom, named Sophia, and feminine. God has no sex, but some like to think of the Spirit as female to balance the male sounding father and son.
So, God's aspects are: Creator, Human, and Power. Three different aspects or "persons," but one God.
The trinity is really a mystery to be contemplated on. Nobody can say they understand the trinity (to say so would be akin to saying you understand God), but people who contemplate on this mystery can say they understand it better today than they did the day before. As understanding of this mystery is gained through contemplation on it, the more you realize that only through contemplation of this mystery can better understanding of it be attained. I advise you to try to understand the mystery by prayerfully studying the scriptures, by reading the books out there that are written on this mystery, and just be patient and enjoy the slow blossoming of this beautiful mystery in your mind that will be an ongoing event for the rest of your life. :)
