Bedroom makeover need help?

I am redoing my bedroom and I cannot choose the color(s) I want it to be. Right now they are a very light lilac and dark teal with a cream trim (the trim is going), I am trading my twin sized bed for a queen sized one that has a white medal frame. I am seventeen but I am not girly at all, I am more into science and sci-fi. The desk and computer chair are going too, I am probably going to replace them with a table that matches the curtains and room color(s). What would colors would suit this kind of room?

try a blue or red color scheme. blues can be dark or light. maybe you can paint the ceiling (very carefully!) and use yellow or white to paint stars! reds come in different shades, too, but may be too girly depending on what shades are available.

With the white bed:
You should maybe make walls white and the carpet a dark color (blue, green or red? or maybe black?)
The desk should be the same colour as the carpet (see above)

have you thought about having a bold wallpaper print on one wall as a feature wall and some pale colours on the remaining walls? just go and look in a store and see what you are drawn too. have fun :)
