Do birds have a period?
Like were they bleed out of their vagina? you would think that would get kind of messy and get all over people.

No, birds do not have any kind of menstrual cycle. They do have a natural cycle related to their ovulation, but there is not any menstrual fluid involved. The mammal menstrual cycle related to "bleeding" is actually the sloughing off of the uterine lining which exists cushion the growing fetus. Since birds lay eggs, their bodies don't need prepare the same way. Seeing blood on or around the vent (or cloaca) is a strong indication of danger. An egg may have broken or gotten lodged inside the bird. Although there are things experienced birders can do, it is recommended you bring your bird to the vet if this happens.

you will desire to get your poultry to a veterinarian, as a results of fact egg-laying creatures do no longer menstruate. Mammals, inclusive of human beings, enhance a foodstuff interior the uterus around the ovum, it is then the two flushed out or reabsorbed if that ovum (which we in some circumstances call an "egg" yet is different from a poultry's). All those foodstuff in birds' eggs are contained interior the shell - it somewhat is the "white" area of a fowl egg, case in point. so as that textile is bumped off while the egg is laid, whether fertilized or no longer. Birds do have mating seasons and cycles which result their hormones, plenty as animals inclusive of human beings, that would desire to be defined as "periodic," yet your question refers to menstruation, wherein women flush uterine linings out of their gadget if an ovum does not get fertilized. this happens basically with human beings and large apes. i'm hoping your poultry gets greater effective!

Um... birds lay eggs... so no.
A hen laying an infertile egg would be the closest thing to a woman having her period.
Think about that next time youre eating eggs.
