can flv format convert to dat format?

a .dat file is only a data file, nearly every program creates a .dat file when you use it,

for instance - internet explorer creates a .dat file called index.dat, its data from all the websites you have visited,

a .flv file is a flash video media file, you cannot convert a .flv to a .dat

to open a .dat file you must first find which program created it, then if you are lucky you can open it with that program

if you are looking for the format DAT and not the file extension .dat,

then the convertors will work, because the format DAT is Digital Audio Tape - not much use for a video though
