Xp reinstall take sme to a blue screen with cursor and i can access task manager thats it?

i reinstalled xp on my computer using the cd fresh install deleted partitins made new one etc..done it a million times but this time the install took forever like 9 hours and now after loggin in i get a light blue screen with the mouse..thats it..i can access task manager but nothing is showing up any ideas?

Hi,

It sounds as if the install didn't work correctly as it shouldn't take that long.

Check the cd and make sure it is not dirty or scratched, then perhaps try a re-install.
