I'm from the south and all my life have heard the word?

(rer ent) meaning spoiled. and I have always spelled it wrunt. Like, "that milk is wrunt!" Well, now I'm using it in a poem and the spellchecker doesn't recognized it..... Does anyone know a different spelling..?

Ruint or ru-ent is Southern dialect for the word "ruined."

BTW, It's OK to use it in a poem if you spell it phonetically and if you are using it for a certain effect, otherwise if you want proper English it must be "ruined."

I'm from the northwest, and never heard that word before, it might be a regional thing.

Could it be a variation of ruined?

If it's a commonly used word where you live, your English teacher might have a better idea where it comes from and how to spell it.
