Would it be worth it for my wife and son to come to boot camp graduation if "A" school is in hometown?

I want her to come, but I'm not sure it would be worth it if I had to leave for "A" school an hour or two after graduation. Especialy when "A" school is in my hometown.

Well, from a economic stand point we'd need to know where the A-School is to calculate travel costs from there to Great Mistakes (I mean Great Lakes)... but then again YOU can figure THAT out !!

From a family pride point of view... I would have to say YES. You will have been gone for over 2 months !!

I graduated from RTC Orlando, Florida way back in 1985 and my folks flew in from California even though I had suggested they really didn't need to. My Mom was so proud (I laughed since I was 21 at the time), and we all went to Epcot Center before they flew home. I was glad they came because I didn't get a chance to get home for another 9 months.

GOOD Luck and Welcome Aboard Shipmate...

PS.... Never say "Requesting Permission to Cross Your Patio Daddy-O" !!

I think so, watching my husband graduate from Navy boot camp was a really cool thing. And even when you get to A school you might not get to see her for a little while. I know my husband had like a certain amount of weeks or something into A school that he had to complete before he said I could come visit him.
