Can two popcorn kernels result in the same shape after they pop?

Why not? I've never bought into the whole "no two snowflakes are alike" simply because there's no way you could possibly know that :p

Not sure. There's no way to prove it, unless you're able to closely analyze every popped corn in the world, which is impossible. Every individual kernel experiences a different temperature of heat within a confined area, whether it's in a microwave or on a stove-top.

Highly unlikely that it would be identical. Similar, sure.
