How do you bypass the reverse sensors on a garage door opener in the United States?

I am installing my new garage door opener on my new house. How do I bypass the reverse sensors so it would be one less thing to worry about? I have found these things very inconvenient and far more trouble than its worth. There are never any kids on my property playing in the garage anyway. I want to be able to press the close button from inside and walk out of the garage while the door is closing. And it is not possible to do this with those reverse sensors installed. How do I bypass them?

Think very carefully about the possible consequences of your actions, it is a safety feature. Alternatives are to buy a remote control unit and wire the output contacts in parallel with the existing button. But if you really need to know it can be difficult without seeing it, normally the sensor would have a signal input connection on the pcb of the controller, trace the wiring back and disconnect the input, if it doesn't work at all then you need to put a permanent signal to the input.

I know people that attach them above the garage door opener, in the rafters of the garage, close together, like on either side of a 2x4. Or you can attach them close together, off to the side and out of the way, pointing at each other obviously. Anywhere really.

looks like the strain needs to be raised. you are able to continuously open the conceal on the opener and examine and notice in case you notice a burn spot on the administration board(it appears that evidently like a digital board in a working laptop or computing gadget). If there is one then you certainly might would desire to replace the administration board. sturdy success the board is your situation in view that its 15 years previous.

This is a really a bad idea. If for nothing else, a lot of insurance policies are void (homeowners) if they are bypassed.
